The following tasks were performed on both of your mini split systems today -when arrived customer explained issue with basement wall unit giving error code occasionally, also explained ceiling cassette in master bedroom the louvers were not closing/functioning -basement wall unit is the design that throws a code when the front cover isn’t on properly -found the front cover wasn’t connected to the other cover that opens and closes it, fixed that by snapping in place -also found the basement unit was set to “dry” mode while the 2nd floor spare room unit was set to cool -if units are set to different modes that will also cause and error code to flash -inspected louvers on cassette in master bedroom, the stepper motor isn’t operating need to replace -customer also expressed concern regarding mold/mildew build in units -explained it is preventable by having units cleaned regularly and also could be beneficially to have UV air cleaners installed to kill/prevent mold/mildew in future -pulle

No AC -arrived to home for issue with Ac not operating -customer explained he had an issue in the past few weeks and they reset a roll out switch, and it worked fine -now system is not operating again in cooling but blower runs constantly and there is a flash code. -went to furnace in basement and code is for open roll out or trip fuse, found fuse blown -put in resettable test fuse and by process of elimination found outdoor unit to be causing fuse to blow -went to condenser and found the 2 wire was bare and touching metal causing the blown fuse -inspected the rest of the outdoor unit -presented customer with options -customer chose option 1 -repair 2 wire that is causing fuse to blow -capacitor could fail causing no ac again and a dirty condenser coil can hide bigger issues because it can cause higher pressures and if system is low on refrigerant dirty coil can mimic normal pressure it can also cause compressor/condenser fan to overheat because it is not allowing enough air to pass
